Best Use of Local Produce Award
At the 2008 Chester Food and Drink Awards Restaurant 1539 won the Gold Award for 'Best Use of Local Produce in a Menu'.
We pride ourselves on using only the finest local produce ranging from poultry produced in Lancashire on Reg Johnson's farm to Vale of Clwyd Beef, Eaton Estate venison and Menai Mussels.
The award is accepted by Max Gnoyke, Consultant Chef, Phil Dougherty, General Manager of Chester Racecourse, and presented by Chester Food and Drink Chairman Stephen Wundke (L-R).
